COVENTRY City's incoming and outgoing sponsors have 'swapped shirts' to commemorate the handover.

Premium express delivery company City Link has agreed a three-year deal to become the new club and shirt sponsor, taking over from property company Cassidy Group.

Stuart Godman, City Link's managing director, performed the shirt swap with Patric Cassidy ahead of the start of the new season.

Coventry City director Joe Elliott said: "Everyone at Coventry City is very grateful to the Cassidy Group for their support over recent seasons and we look forward to an ongoing relationship with the company.

"We now welcome Stuart Godman and City Link as the main club and shirt sponsor, which we believe will be extremely beneficial to both parties.

"City Link has been working with the club for some time now but this new sponsorship deal takes it to a new level.

"It's fantastic to see both parties swapping shirts in this way and points to the fact that both want the best for Coventry City in the future."

Stuart Godman said: "We are delighted to be taking over the Sky Blues club and shirt sponsorship from the Cassidy Group.

"We are aware of how supportive Patric and James Cassidy have been to Coventry City in recent years and City Link is committed to building upon the excellent foundations they have laid as club and shirt sponsors with the aim of supporting the Sky Blues in their drive towards Premier League status."
