Where: Greenhous Meadow Stadium
When: Tuesday, July 27

COVENTRY City head to the Greenhous Meadow Stadium this evening for their penultimate pre-season friendly against League Two outfit Shrewsbury Town.

The Sky Blues take a two-game winning streak and five consecutive clean sheets to Shrewsbury after Saturday's 2-0 win over Walsall at the Banks' Stadium.

Shrewsbury Town are on a three-game undefeated run of their own, their most recent win coming in the form of a 2-1 victory over Havant and Waterlooville in the semi-finals of the JOMA Cup.

The Shrews however gave up their final berth to Havant and Waterlooville while their squad recover from a series of injuries picked up in pre-season.

TEAM NEWS

Coventry City could hand new striker Lukas Jutkiewicz his debut tonight after he completed a move from Premier League outfit Everton yesterday.

David Bell is a doubt he recovers from the injection in his knee which kept him out of the pre-season wins over Walsall and Northampton Town.

Gary Deegan will be unavailable as he recovers from and ankle injury and Isaac Osbourne may also be absent as he continues his rehabilitation from a knee problem.

Shrewsbury Town could be without Matt Harrold (eye injury), Benjamin Van Den Broek and Kevin McIntyre.

Jake Robinson also has swelling on his leg which makes him a doubt as well as Shane Cansdell-Sherriff who is recovering from tonsilitis.
