WHILE he may seem a quiet individual, new Coventry City striker Lukas Jutkiewicz says he wants to do his talking on the football pitch.
The 21-year-old completed a three-year deal with the Sky Blues from Premier League outfit Everton today and he said while he does not like to talk about his abilities too much he cannot wait for the season to start so that City supporters can make up their own minds.
"I take some good memories away from Everton but I think there comes a time where you need to play regularly and hopefully at Coventry City I can do that," he said.
"I don't really like to talk about myself too much. Hopefully people can make up their own minds but I what I will do is make sure that I don't leave anything out in training or on the pitch.
"I just want to work hard for the club and for the manager. It did not take much convincing for me to come here to be honest because it's a very big club.
"The fact that the manager has experience of knowing how to get out of this division is an added bonus and the fact he is ambitious like myself made me believe that this club is a very good fit for me."
The Southampton-born hitman netted 11 goals in a season-long loan spell at Scottish Premier League side Motherwell in 2009/10 but he said he could not wait to kick off the new season at home to hometown rivals Portsmouth.
"It's good be because me and all of my family come from Southampton so I think they will definitely be Coventry City fans on the day we play Portsmouth and I'm really excited about that."
