NEWS: City team up with Holland & Barrett

Posted on: Thu 01 Jul 2010

COVENTRY City Football Club have made one of their most important off-the-field signings for the 2010/11 season by teaming up with Holland & Barrett, the UK's leading retailer of vitamins, minerals and sports supplements.

The national chain of health food stores has enjoyed a healthy relationship with the Championship Club as CCFC's official Nutrition Partner for the past four years.

Now this season, the partners have moved even closer off-the-field, with Holland & Barrett's imminent relocation to Eliot Business Park in Nuneaton, putting them just six miles from Coventry's Ricoh Arena.

The deal will see Sky Blues players and coaching staff take advantage of Holland & Barrett's nutritional products during the 2010/11 season to keep the squad at optimum nutrition and maximise fitness levels.

Phil Geary, Holland & Barrett's Group Director of Marketing, said: "We're proud to be supporting UK sport, from grass roots to a professional level.

"By working closely with Coventry's players and fitness coaches right through to the club's Community Programme, we aim to show how good nutrition plays a key part in success."

Nathan Kosky, commercial director of Coventry City, said: "Getting the best products for our players is one of our top priorities so we are delighted to continue our relationship with a leading company like Holland & Barrett who are committed to supporting their local club."

The Holland & Barrett group is based in Nuneaton, Warwickshire and has more than 1,000 stores across the UK and Ireland, including the Holland & Barrett, GNC, Natures Way and Julian Graves brands.
