YOUNG Sky Blues strike Shaun Jeffers said a goal would be the perfect way to cap off what has been a memorable season for the teenager.
The pacy youth academy graduate, who celebrated his 18th birthday last week, made his league debut for the Sky Blues in Saturday's 1-1 draw with Preston North End at the Ricoh Arena, the latest progression in what is soon to become a fully fledged professional career.
Jeffers made his first team debut under Chris Coleman in the club's second game of the 2009/10 campaign, a 1-0 home Carling Cup first round loss to Hartlepool United, and was recently offered a 12-month professional contract to extend his stay with the Sky Blues over the course of 2010/11.

His season got even better with his late five-minute appearance against the Lilywhites on Saturday but Jeffers said a goal would be the perfect way to round off what has been an extraordinary season for him.
"It felt great to come on towards the end and while I've played for the first team in the Carling Cup this season, it was a brilliant feeling to get my first taste of the league," he said.
"It's been a great season so far and I just hope I get more minutes on the pitch before the season finishes because I would love to get a goal.
"It's been a good week for me because I scored for the academy against Leicester on Tuesday so to now get to Saturday and make my league debut is brilliant."
