OVERVIEW
WEST Bromwich Albion prepare for another season in the Premier League after securing automatic promotion with a runners-up spot in last season's Championship campaign.
The Baggies' pre-season preparations took them to Holland where their tour over the Netherlands ended with a 2-1 win over local side Venlo to add to their first friendly win of pre-season, 3-0 away to Kidderminster Harriers.
West Brom though take a record of two defeats from their last three to the Ricoh having been beaten 1-0 away from home by both Crewe Alexandra and Doncaster Rovers, with a 1-0 win over Bristol Rovers sandwiched in between.
HEAD TO HEAD
WEST Brom are clear leaders in the all-time clashes stakes having won 31 of their 63 meetings with the Sky Blues since 1937.
The last league meeting between the two sides ended 1-0 to the Baggies at the Hawthorns after a strike from Steven Reid.
Historically, however, goals have always formed the crux of any meeting between these two sides which is a meeting never short on entertainment or a few surprises.

LAST GAME
Doncaster Rovers 1 West Brom 0
DEAN Shiels scored the only goal of the game on the hour for hosts Doncaster at Keepmoat as Rovers gave West Brom their toughest pre-season workout to date.
Shiels turned Gianni Zuiverloon on the edge of the box before curling a superb effort inside Dean Keily's far post.
INJURIES AND SUSPENSIONS
Coventry City will be without Gary Deegan and Isaac Osbourne.
David Bell and Michael McIndoe (back) could also be doubts as Bell recovers from a knee injection.
West Brom had six ebsentees in their Wednesday night defeat to Doncaster Rovers in Roman Bednar, Simon Cox, Luke Moore, Jerome Thomas, Sam Mantom and Graham Dorrans.
Of those six, Mantom, Thomas, Moore and Cox remain unlikely to feature at the Ricoh Arena on Saturday although Dorrans and Bednar could be fit enough for a recall.
Manager Roberto Di Matteo is also boosted by the return of World Cup duo Chris Woods and Marek Cech.
