COVENTRY City manager Chris Coleman says Sunday's crucial derby clash with Leicester City is a great opportunity for the Sky Blues to bounce back from the bitter disappointment of their midweek defeat.
The Sky Blues were denied a share of the spoils against Cardiff City at the Ricoh Arena on Tuesday night after a controversial late penalty for Dave Jones' side saw them take all the points.
But Coleman said the highly-charged atmosphere of Sunday's fixture presents his side with a great opportunity to get their play-off push back on track.
"It's a great opportunity because when the fixtures came out at the start of the season all the fans would be looking at the dates when we would be playing Leicester," Coleman said.
"We had a good battle earlier in the season and to be fair to Leicester they have remained consistent and kept that momentum going from their promotion last season.
"We know it's going to be a tough game but we're looking forward to it because it gives us a chance to bounce right back after the disppointment of Tuesday night where the officials took the game from us.
"Leicester have been doing well at home but prior to Tuesday night where we had the game snatched from us we had been on a very good run ourselves.
Coleman also said despite his early-season target of a mid-table finish, it was difficult not to want a little bit more given the position the Sky Blues are currently in.
"We set ourselves a target of mid-table to top half for the season but when you find yourselves in the position we are it's difficult not to look at it and think we can go a little bit higher.
"There's nothing wrong with being a bit more ambitious I don;t think but if it turns out we cannot break into that magical top six this season we need to ensure we finish the campaign as strong as possible."
