COVENTRY City midfielder David Bell says the Sky Blues are determined to shake off their midweek disappointment as they prepare for Sunday's crucial derby clash away to Leicester City on Sunday.
Chris Coleman's side were left gutted on Tuesday night after a controversial late penalty for handball gifted visitors Cardiff City the match winner two minutes from time, leaving the Sky Blues empty handed when the tie seemed headed for a draw.
The defeat to the fellow play-off contenders leaves the Sky Blues five points adrift of the top six but Bell, who returned to the side as a second-half substitute on Tuesday, said City have already found themselves in the same situation once this season and they are ready to try and get themselves out of it.
"We've been here once already where we were on a good run earlier this season and then we lost away to Newcastle but the next game we picked ourselves up and got back to winning ways," Bell said.
"The Leicester game is a massive one. It's a local derby and I'd assume it's probably going to be a sell out but for us it's important to bounce back and get something positive after the disappointment of Tuesday night.
"We didn't feel as though we deserved to lose the game so Sunday we have to come back strong."
The wideman also said he was looking forward to hopefully regaining a run in the side after coming back from injury, starting with the return to his former club where he spent a number of weeks on loan prior to his arrival at the Ricoh Arena.
"The last few weeks have been a bit stop start for me because of injury but I'm back now and fit so I want to get in the side keep myself there hopefully starting with the game at Leicester. It's a place I'm looking forward to revisiting."
