COVENTRY City loan striker Jonathan Stead said he was strugglingto think of ways to have made his home debut much better after opening his goalscoring account in Saturday's home 2-1 win over Scunthorpe United.
The 26-year-old target man, on loan from Ipswich Town for the rest of the season, scored the game's opener at the Ricoh Arena to set the Sky Blues on their way to their sixth home win in their last seven league games.
The three points lifted Chris Coleman's side to within three points of the play-off places and Stead said he thought the clash had everything a football fan could ask for.
"It was a fantastic day and from my point of view it could not have been much better," he said.

"It's a huge three points for us after a great performance at Crystal Palace last week and while we are still trying to keep quiet about our play-off chances we know if we can keep winning games like we have been doing then anything is possible.
"I really enjoyed my first run out at the Ricoh and although it took us 20 minutes to get settled, I thought we dominated the game after that.
"We went down to ten men which was unfortunate but a great penalty save from Keiren allowed us to go from strength to strength and then Sammy scored a superb free-kick which gave us a bit of a cushion.
"From a fan's point of view the game had everything you could want with goals, a penalty save and three points at the end of it so it was a great spectacle and I thoroughly enjoyed it."
