COVENTRY City manager Chris Coleman has hailed the signing of Freddie Sears.
The Sky Blues swooped to sign the 20-year-old striker on-loan from West Ham United until the end of the season.
Sears, who has played 25 times in the Premier League for The Hammers, will be in the City squad for Saturday's clash with Queens Park Rangers at the Ricoh Arena.
And Coleman believes he will be a very positive addition to the squad.
He said: "Freddie is a very good young player and we are very pleased to have him on board for the rest of the season.

"He is a hungry striker who is really keen to impress and I like that in a player.
"He is only a young boy so I am not going to put pressure on him but he is very exciting and I think our supporters will take to him immediately.
"We've been working hard to get a striker in before Saturday but we are still working away to get one more in before the weekend on top of this.
"Our aim is to keep improving the squad for all those supporters who buy their season tickets or come along every week to cheer the team on.
"Things cannot always happen as quickly as we would like them to happen but we believe we have shown over the past few weeks that we are committed to our plan of improving the squad whenever the opportunity comes along, and at the same time hopefully attract more supporters." |
