WESTWOOD: Front two were immense

Posted on: Fri 12 Feb 2010

COVENTRY City goalkeeper Keiren Westwood said he thought upfront duo Clinton Morrison and Freddy Eastwood were immense in last night's 1-0 win over Nottingham Forest at the Ricoh.

Good flank work from Morrison created the opening for Freddy Eastwood to smash home his seventh goal of the campaign and Westwood said the whole team felt the benefits of their hard work.

"I thought Clinton and Freddy up front were incredible," he said.

"They worked so hard all game and not just to create chances but to put pressure on Forest as well. We all got the benefits of the work they did up the pitch.

"Having said that I thought all of the lads were great and it's a really important three points to get against a team that are doing really well this season.

"Richard Wood and James McPake were absolutely solid at the back and defensively I thought we looked quite comfortable.

"We've got QPR at home as well now so we should go into that game with confidence because this win has turned three draws against three tough teams into a four-game unbeaten run against four tough teams."
