COLEMAN: Step in the right direction
COVENTRY City boss Chris Coleman said he was impressed with the manner in which the Sky Blues earned thier three points in the 1-0 win over Nottingham Forest at the Ricoh Arena.
Freddy Eastwood's first half strike was enough to hand Coventry their fourth win in five games at the Ricoh Arena and lift them to within six points of the play-off places and Coleman said the win over Forest capped off a run of results which has seen them take points off the Championship's top teams.
"Nottingham Forest are not where they are for nothing so I was very pleased in the manner in which the players went about their business tonight," Coleman said.
"If you look at our last few games we could not have had a much tougher run-in yet we have taken points away from them so credit to the lads, they have been tremendous.
"Both Clinton Morrison and Freddy Eastwood played extremely well against two very good centre-backs and they combined extremely well for the goal.
"We are gradually edging in the right direction and tonight's result was another step towards that."
