MORRISON: Me and Freddy can crack it

Posted on: Fri 12 Feb 2010

COVENTRY City striker Clinton Morrison says he and Freddy Eastwood will be making it as hard as possible for anybody to dislodge them from the first team following the departure of Leon Best.

The Republic of Ireland international, who along with Eastwood makes up the club's two most experienced strikers, said he felt he was in a good run of form and was looking forward to hopefully forging a profitable partnership with his Welsh international team mate.

"I feel like I'm in good form because although I've not started many of the last few games I have still managed to get some goals so hopefully with a run of games I can keep it going," he said.

"The manager has spoke about bringing in some help at our end of the pitch and that's great because it all helps competition for places but me and Freddy need to concentrate on making it hard for the manager to pick his team if he has a few choices.

"Me and Freddy have worked well together this season and we have both got goals but it's also important to remember to supply others with chances as well and we can both do that.

"We have not lost at home in the last four games, we got a positive result in our last away game at Swansea so we know Bristol City will be a tough one on Saturday but we are confident we can go there and get something."
