COVENTRY City striker Leon Best says he hopes the Sky Blue Army will help give Chris Coleman's side that extra little push for the weekend home clash with Blackpool.
City head into the Saturday clash with the Tangerines on the back of three straight league wins at home and Best said he wanted to take full advantage of that to try and get three points.
"We're coming off the back of a good point against Swansea because we worked very hard and deserved to get something out of the game so that has given us a boost," he said.
"We know Blackpool are a good footballing team but we're at home and we've been doing well at the Ricoh lately, much in the same way Blackpool were at home when they beat us, so hopefully the fans can get behind us and help give us an edge."
The Republic of Ireland international also said he was pleased, not only with his own scoring form, but that of his respective strike partners Freddy Eastwood and Clinton Morrison.
"It's been great for competition because we have all been scoring and sometimes it's nice that you can have that rotation in a side as well as an edge to try and make sure you get one of those starting spots.
"I've been really happy with my own form as well because I'm now doing what I knew I could but hadn't proven up until this season.
"I've been staying injury-free, touch wood, I've been playing games and now I'm proving what I'm capable of and I just need to continue doing it so hopefully I can do that at the weekend."
