NEW Sky Blues midfielder Carl Baker said he was the only player on the pitch asking the referee how much time was left in tonight's clash because he didn't want the game to end.
The 27-year-old midfielder came off the bench to make his debut for the Sky Blues in their 3-1 win over Barnsley at the Ricoh Arena and he said the experience of playing surpassed his expectations.
"It was pretty surreal to be honest because I thought it would be good playing in this stadium but it was even better than I thought it would be," he said.
"I was the only one of our lads asking the ref nhow much time was left hoping there would be more because I didn't want it to end."
The City debutant helped carve the opportunity for Coventry's third goal and he added he was looking forward to getting more minutes on the pitch in the near future.
"I like to get hold of the ball and take on defenders and run at them so I tried to use the time I had on the pitch to do that as much as I could.
"Unfortunately I'm cup-tied for the game against Portsmouth on Tuesday because I would have loved to play in that but I'll still be here cheering the lads on and hopefully we can get through to the next round."
