COLEMAN: Pleased despite defeat
COVENTRY City boss Chris Coleman said he was pleased with his side's performance despite seeing the Sky Blues go down 2-0 to Nottingham Forest at the City Ground.
Strikes from Robert Earnshaw and Dexter Blackstock handed Forest another three points to keep them within touching distance of the automatic promotion spot, ending the Dky Blues' run of three straight victories.
But Coleman said he was pleased with his squad's application and felt they were unlucky to be behind at half time.
"Forest had a couple of half chances in the first half but looking at that first 45 minutes I thought we looked like the only side likely to score and were definitely the better team," he said.
"It's a shame they sucker punched us right at the end of the first half but I was very pleased with the way the boys stuck about their task so, yes, we've lost but there are plenty of positives to be taken from this game."
