COLEMAN: We've got to keep going

Posted on: Fri 12 Feb 2010

COVENTRY City boss Chris Coleman said he was preparing for another tough test when Reading visit the Ricoh Arena tomorrow afternoon.

The Sky Blues are coming off the back of a goalless draw with high flyers West Brom which stopped a run of consecutive defeats.

But Coleman said his side would have to work just as hard, if not harder, for a result against the Royals whose recent form has been in stark contrast to last season's campaign.

"If we think we can go into the game against Reading and not work as hard as we did against West Brom because they were top of the league at the time then we will come away disappointed," Coleman said.

"I don't care if it's not pretty because all I care about is the end result and getting some points to move us up the league.

"We can look at it and say that it's an opportunity for us but I'm not bothered about how Reading have been playing because on the day it's a completely different game.

"Reading have been strong on their travels so far this season so I'd imagine they will relish the chance to come here rather than play at home where they've been struggling.

"But I can promise you none of my players have done anything but train hard for this game and do their homework because Reading are fighting for their lives and we need to get another run going."
