COLEMAN: That's a point earned

Posted on: Fri 12 Feb 2010

COVENTRY City boss Chris Coleman said this time last year the Sky Blues may well have lost Tuesday night's game against Doncaster Rovers at the Keepmoat.

City had to weather the storm on occasions to keep out ean O'Driscoll's side but Coleman said he was pleased with the resilience and the spirit his players showed in order to keep them unbeaten in the league and collect a second consecutive clean sheet away from home.

"There's no doubt we've played better than we did (on Tuesday night)," he said.

"Doncaster are a good team who pass the ball very well and they were definitley 'on it' against us.

"They were always on the front foot in the first half where as I though we looked a little bit rigid and lacking in a bit of quality.

"But the second half looked a bit more like us. Keiren Westwood has had to pull off a couple of very good saves but our shape in the second half was better.

"We rode our luck at times but despite that I was really pleased with the resilience and team spirit the boys showed out there and it was defintely a point we earned."
