The 28-year-old central midfielder, who arrived at the Sky Blues in summer 2003, joins up with Simon Grayson's squad for the 2009/10 season.

Coventry City manager Chris Coleman said: "We talked to Michael last season season and said that maybe it was time for a changefor both parties.

"I explained to Michael that he wasn't going to figure as much as last season if we got the targets we wanted.. He has two years left on his contract and he wants to play which we can understand and when the Leeds proposition came about he felt it was good for him and we felt it was good for us."
