COVENTRY City defender Marcus Hall has signed a one-year contract extension which will keep him at the club until summer 2010.

The 33-year-old left-back made his 300th appearance for the club in the final home game of the 2008/09 season against Watford.

The former England Under 21 international said: "I've always said I want to stay here because this is my boyhood club so I'm delighted to be here for another season.

"It's great to know I will be here for another year so now I can concentrate on getting ready for the new season when we all report for training next week."
