DANN: I'm extremely grateful to Sky Blues
DEPARTING Coventry City defender Scott Dann has made a farewell statement to the club and its loyal fans after agreeing terms to move across the Midlands to Premier League outfit Birmingham City
The 22-year-old centre-half' joined the Sky Blues in January 2008 from League One outfit Walsall and became club captain last season.
And the Liverpudlian-born England Under 21 international expressed his great thanks for the suport he has received from the club during his stay at the Ricoh Arena.
"I'm extremely grateful to Coventry City for giving me the chance to play at the top level and the past 18 months at the club have been extremely enjoyable for me," he said.
"I take with me some great memories but felt that, personally, this was the best move for me and an opportunity I felt I could not pass up.
"I would like again to express great thanks to Coventry and its fans for all they have done for me over the past 18 months, and I wish the club all the success it thoroughly deserves."
