COLEMAN: Best of luck to Jules

Posted on: Tue 02 Sep 2008

COVENTRY City manager Chris Coleman has wished Julian Gray the best of luck regarding his season-long loan move to Coleman's former club.

The City boss gave the nod to the move on transfer deadline day yesterday, with Gray penning the deal with Roy Hodgson's Craven Cottage outfit yesterday evening.

Coleman said: "I spoke with Roy and he expressed his interest in Julian, and obviously with less than 12 months left on his contract Jules is free to speak to whoever he likes.

"Fulham is a Premier League club and everyone wants to play in the Premier League.

"Once Jules heard Fulham were interested he was obviously very keen on the move and from our point of view we thought it suited all parties.

"We still have plenty of options in terms of left sided players with Leon McKenzie, Jay Tabb and Michael Mifsud and for the duration of his move we wish Julian all the best."
