ARON Gunnarsson and Michael Mifsud will both be in World Cup qualifying action during the forthcoming international break.

After City travel to Doncaster on Saturday there will be a two-week break from the rigours of the Championship but there are some mouth-watering fixtures for the Sky Blues duo to look forward to.

Gunnarsson has received a call-up for Iceland's matches against Norway on September 6 and Scotland on September 10. City's long-throw expert, who recently returned to midfield after a short stint at right-back, will link-up with his international teammates next Wednesday ahead of two massive games.

Iceland are in Qualifying Group Nine for the 2010 World Cup, with Macedonia and Holland the other teams they will face.

Mifsud has been selected for Malta's World Cup Group One qualifiers against Portugal on September 6 and Albania on September 10.

Also featuring in that group are Denmark, Hungary and Sweden
