Fox: Let's put a run together

Posted on: Mon 25 Feb 2008

Danny Fox says the Sky Blues thoroughly deserved their victory against local rivals Leicester City at the weekend and underlined that the players can't wait to get stuck in when the team travels to face Burnley on Tuesday night.

Speaking exclusively to Sky Blues World, the left-back said he hoped that the win over the Foxes would act as a catalyst for the rest of the season.

"It was a great start for us and for the gaffer and Steve as well," said the former Walsall defender.

"We couldn't have asked for a better start and the performance tipped it off for us. We were happy to get the three points and we're looking forward to the game tomorrow.

"The gaffer has come in and he is very confident in what he is doing and Steve is a very good coach as well. Hopefully it can kick start a good run and a good end to the season.

"The lads are enjoying the training sessions that they're putting on and I am enjoying working under him. Long may it continue."

The Sky Blues have the potential to play a very young back line in the Championship - should Scott Dann or Ben Turner be involved - and Fox says that can only benefit the Club.

"I think Scott is about the same age as Ben. I didn't know Wardy was only 23 - he looks about 33 to be honest! I am enjoying it so hopefully I can stay in the team and help get the results we need."
