A SUPERB second half fightback from the Sky Blues saw them salvage a point at the Walkers Stadium aftef falling two goals behind.

Leicester striker Andy King gave the hosts a two goal lead at the interval, his second in controversial fashion, but James McPake's first goal for the Sky Blues and Gary Deegan's late equaliser three minutes from time handed Coventry a deserved point.

King opened the scoring for the hosts after just three minutes to give Nigel Pearson's side the lead but there was some debate over his second goal, a header which bounced down off the crossbar and around the line with questions asked as to whether it crossed.

Leicester's first started from Ryan McGivern's whipped in a ball from the left which was only cleared by James McPake as far as King who controlled the ball before slotting past Keiren Westwood inside his far post from around eight yards out.

Westwood turned away a Richie Wellens' free kick two minutes later, Wellens curling in a dead ball from the corner of the Sky Blues area which Westwood palmed away for a corner.

Carl Baker went close for the Sky Blues on 13 minutes after a good sweeping move saw Jonathan Stead get to the byline before cutting back for Morrison who in turn played the ball to Baker whose hooked shot was well stopped by Chris Weale.

Westwood had to be alert after 18 minutes when a quick Foxes counterattack allowed Martyn Waghorn to slip a pass through to Nathan Dyer whose low shot was palmed away.

Leicester doubled their lead a minute later though when Paul Gallagher beat the offside trap to float a cross into the six-yard area for King whose header hit the underside of the bar and bounced around the line, the assistant referee awarding the goal.

Waghorn went close soon after when a low cross whipped in by King just evaded Waghorn's outstretched boot.

He went close again on 25 minutes when he collected a long ball under pressure from McPake but half volleying his shot over Westwood's bar.

Matt Oakley started the second half off with a long range effort straight at Westwood who made a comfortable save.

The Sky Blues were back in the game nine minutes into second half though when James McPake supplied a superb finish to Stead's head back across the six yard box to slash the deficit in half.

A deep cross was met by Stead whose delicate head back across the area foundMcPake whose half bicycle kick volley powered past Weale.

Stead had a chance of his own two minutes later when Bell swung in a great cross which the City striker could only guide over the bar with his head.

The Sky Blues were only denied an equaliser ten minutes from time by an on-the-line block from Nobby Solano who got his body infront of Gary Deegan's effort from just ten yards out.

Deegan only had to wait another seven minutes though before bagging an equaliser for Coventry.

A through ball found Morrison on the corner of the six-yard area, his pull back finding Deegan unmarked central to goal to tap home.

Westwood had to be at his best at the other end during Leicester's very next attack, making a fine save with his legs from Matt Oakley's low shot from a tight angle.

But there was no doubt the momentum was firmly in the Sky Blues' corner as they saw out four minutes of added time while keeping the hosts well on the back foot.
