LEON Best earned the Sky Blues a point with a last-gasp equaliser to complete a superb comeback from Chris Coleman's side.

Sean St Ledger glanced home a corner delivery with five minutes to go until the first-half break with Williams adding a second in injury time to give the hosts a two-goal lead.

But Clinton Morrison pulled one back for City with 13 minutes to go and Best poked home the equaliser with literally seconds remaining.

Marvin Emnes gave the Sky Blues backline an early wake-up call inside the first minute, racing into a one-on-one situation with Keiren Westwood who made a fine close range save.

Michael McIndoe went close after five minutes with a glancing header off Morrison's cross, the ball going narrowly wide of Brad Jones' far post.

Emnes was denied by Westwod again ten minutes later, the forward driving into the box past Wright but the City 'keeper taking the ball off Emnes' feet.

Best managed an effort on 23 minutes which almost found its way to the goal after a tee-up on the edge of the area by Morrison, the ball only stopped from going its goalbound course by a last-ditch block from St Ledger.

Morrison got in a shot of his own four minutes later, holding off St Ledger and Wheater to fire at goal but drag his effort just wide of Jones' far post.

St Ledger caused trouble at the other end though five minutes before half time, glancing home a header from a corner which snuck just inside Westwood's far post.

Morrison very nearly levelled the score three minutes later, firing a rebound on the edge of the Boro six-yard area and forcing 'keeper Jones into a good scrambled save.

But Boro doubled their lead with the last kick of the first half, unmarked O'Neil receiving a cutback from Adam Johnson and whipping in a low cross for Williams who hooked a close range shot through bodies and inside Westwood's far post.

City boss Coleman responded to the first-half showing by making a double substitution to introduce Aron Gunnarsson and Patrick van Aanholt for Isaac Osbourne and Marcus Hall.

And the Sky Blues almost pulled one back on 54 minutes, McIndoe stealing into the area to tap a half-volley at goal and forcing Jones to make a great save to deny him.

Westwood was forced to palm an effort from Johnson behind for a corner just before the hour.

Stephen Wright also went close for City on 65 minutes, spearing a header from Sammy Clingan's free-kick delivery over the bar from 15 yards.

City pulled a goal back with 13 minutes left though, Morrison increasing his season goal tally to six when Jordan Clarke tapped a cross onto the head of Best who glanced it into the path of Morrison who struck past Jones on the turn from six yards out.

Clarke almost poked a shot of his own past Jones with five minutes to go, Best pulling a ball back for the youngster to chest and volley just the wrong side of the near post.

But Best kept himself on the heels of Morrison in the goalscoring stakes with almost the last kick of four minutes of added time.

Clingan found substitute Elliott Ward on the corner of the area with a late free-kick, Ward fired a low cross in which took a deflection and found Best at the back post to poke home past the scrambling Jones, earn the Sky Blues a point and level his goal return of the 2008/09 campaign.
