CELEBRATE THE CLUB'S 125th BIRTHDAY
Coventry City Football Club will be hosting a famiy fun day and showcasing up-and-coming bands from the region at the Club's 125th birthday party in aid of the survivors of the Chinese earthquake.
The Sky Blues will be boosting Oxfam's appeal that has been set up in the wake of the Sichuan earthquake in May in which over 60,000 people lost their lives and five million people were made homeless.
The event will take place in the Jaguar Exhibition Hall at the Ricoh Arena on Sunday, July 27.
Local band richlife, who supported Bon Jovi at his recent concert at the Ricoh Arena, will be joined on stage by the appropriately named indie-rock band Old Ricoh, Coventry rock and dance band Trailer, girl band Electric Dolls, alternative/rock band Haunted by Humans, rock band King Hermit and soul singer Juliette Leon from around 2.30pm until 9pm.
The day will start at 2pm when families can watch a special appearance by the Kombat Breakers, have fun on the bouncy castles and have a chance to hop aboard the bus which took the 1987 FA Cup winning squad on a tour around the city.
Sky Blues supporters will also have the opportunity to see chairman Ray Ranson, manager Chris Coleman and the likes of new goalkeeper Kieren Westwood, Dan Fox, Michael Mifsud and Leon Best from 3.30pm until 5pm.

All the funds raised from ticket sales as well as donations on the day will be given to Oxfam to help survivors of the Chinese earthquake.
