JSB members under seven will yet again be able to claim a free season ticket in keeping with our commitment to the Football League's 'Fans of the Future' initiative.* Other benefits include:

Become an away-day mascot!
Walking out on to the pitch with your Sky Blue heroes is a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity that only a select few get the chance to experience. Hundreds of children apply every season for the limited number of places and many will spend years on waiting lists.But what if you had a chance to skip the queue and be entered into a draw to become a mascot at an away game this season?
Well that chance is here! By joining the Junior Sky Blues (sponsored by Halmarc Security Services) by 5pm on Thursday November 22, 2007, you will be entered into the draw for the remaining away-day mascot spaces.
Membership costs just £15 and is available from the Ticket Office on 0870 421 1988 (option 1).
By signing up now, you will automatically be included in next weeks exclusive draw and you will also qualify all the other amazing JSB benefits, including entry into the soon to be announced JSB Christmas party.

EU Poster Competition
A competition to design a poster against discrimination has been launched for children and young people across the whole of Europe and beyond.This international competition aims to teach young people the values of tolerance with an exciting prize on offer. Six winning posters from the UK will be entered into the European stage of the competition with team members travelling to Brussels for an all-expenses-paid award giving ceremony.
The competition in open to groups of four or more young people with one adult supervisor within two age groups: 12 -14 years and 15 -18 years.
The deadline for team registration is fast approaching. The final day for registering is Moday October 29, 2007 and posters must be submitted by Wednesday October 31, 2007.

Playing For Success
Elliott Ward and Gary Borrowdale took time out last night to celebrate the achievements of over 60 local students.The children had all completed a Playing for Success after-school course based in the Partnership Centre at the Ricoh Arena. The scheme offers literacy, numeracy and ICT support to children from local schools.
The players presented the successful students with certificates and then stayed around for photos and autographs.
Children from Hill Farm Primary, Park Gate Primary, Whitmore Park Primary, Stoke Park School and Community Technology College, Caludon Castle Business and Enterprise Specialist School, Cardinal Newman Catholic School and Community College and The Woodlands School and Sports College were all in attendance. There were also a group of home-educated students who had completed the course.

Reading with Hall
As part of Coventry City's involvement in the National Literacy Trusts' Reading the Game initiatives, we asked one of City's Reading Champions, Marcus Hall, about his reading habits.
Here is what he said:
What books do you enjoy reading for yourself? Are there any particular titles that you would recommend?
"I enjoy reading autobiographies, titles I would recommend would be Roy Keane's autobiography and a book called A Boy Called It by Dave Pelzer."
What else do you enjoy reading? Magazines, websites or newspapers?
"I enjoy reading car magazines such as Top Gear and What Car."
What memories do you have of reading or being read to when you were a child?
"When I was young I enjoyed reading The Famous Five books by Enid Blyton."
What was the last book that you read?
"A Boy Called It by David Pelzer."
Do you read any stories to any younger members of your family? If so what?
"Yes. I read books to my children quite a lot."
Do you read matchday programmes?
"Yes. City's programmes are the best!"
Why do you enjoy reading and why do you think it is important.
"I think it is very important to read because it's enjoyable and educational at the same time."

The season is now underway and all of you who signed up for the Junior Sky Blues over the summer should now have received your membership packs.
Membership packs should include:

Calling all young supporters...the season may only just have fininshed but it is already time to think about how you'll be getting behind the Sky Blues when things kick off again in August.
The Junior Sky Blues is a young supporters club for anyone aged from 0 - 15 years. Membership offers children, the future of this Club, a number of incentives to become a loyal City supporter.
And now it is even easier to become a member. Today saw the launch of the new online application for the 07/08 season. Simply download a JSB Application Form, fill it in and send it off.
