COVENTRY City Under 18s suffered their heaviest defeat of the season on Saturday after going down 8-1 away to Premier Academy League high fliers Tottenham Hotspur.

Spurs were six goals up going into the break and netted a seventh straight after the start of the second half.

City defender Cyrus Christie grabbed a consolation goal for the Sky Blues but the hosts capped off the scoring midway through the second period.
