COVENTRY City Under 18s compounded their recent impressive win over Birmngham City with a 2-2 home draw against MK Dons.

Jacob Blackwell got himself on the scoresheet for the Sky Blues alongside a strike from Connor Thomas to help Gregor Rioch's Under 18s to a point.

Academy manager Rioch said: "We have had a couple of pleasing results to combat our recent defeats, especially the win against a Birmingham side that prior to facing us had won five or six games on the bounce.

"Those kind of results can fill a team full of confidence and I'm really pleased that even after our recent back-to-back defeats the lads did not let their heads drop and they got their rewards for that."
