COVENTRY City Under 18s undefeated start to the season came to a halt at the weekend after a 3-0 defeat away to table-toppers Leicester City.
The Sky Blues, who have won four and drawn one of their opening five games of the 2009/10 season, were finally undone by the high flying Foxes who maintained their 100 per cent start to the season.
Gregor Rioch's side suffered a nightmare start when Leicester's Elliott Chamberlain gave his side the lead with game only seconds old, the forward reacting to a long throw first and firing a close range shot past Michael Quirke.
City came back with two efforts from top scorer Robert Ogleby, the speedy striker firing across the face of goal after nine minutes and then blasting over the bar after latching on to a long ball from Sulieman Leluu.
Ogleby got even closer just before the break, striking the post after being played through by Jacob Blackwell.
But the Sky Blues' hard work to get back into the game was all undone inside the first eight minutes of the second half, Adi Yusseff making it 2-0 to the hosts three minutes after the restart and Cain Bolger adding Leicester's third five minutes later.
