Season Ticket 2015/16 Q & A

Prices & How to Buy

When do Season Tickets for the 2015/16 season go on sale?

Season Tickets for the 2015/16 campaign are now on sale from the CCFC Superstore, online at www.ccfcshop.co.uk or by calling 024 7699 2326/2332.

What are the 2015/16 Season Ticket prices?

You can see all the 2015/16 Season Ticket prices on www.ccfc.co.uk.

There is a flat rate across the stadium in the Early Bird period of £249 for adults, while concessions will be £191. Juniors start from £60, JSB Juniors start from £23, while JSB Under 12s are FREE in the Family Zone when accompanied by an adult.

Why have the prices been reduced?

Throughout the 2014/15 season, we have stated that we have been very conscious of the price of football. During the season we have done occasional ticket offers and scrapped the matchday price increase to show our attempts at this. We have had lots of feedback on this issue, both from fans in the Superstore and via our social media channels, and it was at the forefront of our discussions ahead of the new season.

We always planned to look at reducing the prices this season to help make football more affordable for all Sky Blues fans, and we’re really pleased we have been able to show our commitment to this at a time when we appreciate money is tight for many people.

How can I buy my Season Ticket?

There are three ways for you to buy your Season Ticket:

- Online at www.ccfcshop.co.uk

- In person at the CCFC Superstore, Gallagher Retail Park, Stoney Stanton Road, Coventry, CV6 5QQ (Open: Mon to Sat – 9:30am to 5:30pm, Sun: 10:30am to 4:30pm). Ticket sales are now at the desk at the front of the Superstore.

- Over the phone on 024 7699 2332 (Mon – Fri: 9:30am to 5:30pm) or 024 7699 2326

You can pay using the following methods:

- Cash – CCFC Superstore

- Cheque – CCFC Superstore

- Credit Card (excluding American Express) – Online, CCFC Superstore, over the phone

- Debit Card - Online, CCFC Superstore, over the phone

How long does the Early Bird period last?

The Early Bird price lasts from May 3rd until June 30th. Prices increase on July 1st – but even if you buy after the early bird deadline, you will still save money based on prices for our previous full season at the Ricoh Arena.

I am a current Season Ticket holder. For how long will my existing seat be reserved?

Your existing seat at the Ricoh Arena will be reserved until the end of the Early Bird period- which ends on 30th June 2015.

After that date, your seat will be released for any other fans who may want to sit there.

If you’re a Season Ticket holder in the North Stand, Family Zone or Block 25, we can work with you to choose your new seat at the Ricoh Arena.

What matches are included in a 2015/16 Season Ticket?

All home League matches of the 2015/16 campaign are included. This does not include any home Cup (e.g. FA Cup, Capital One Cup, Johnstone’s Paint Trophy) fixtures or any friendlies.

What are the cut off dates for each age band? And what proof is required?

The cut-off date for each age band is August 31st.

For example, if you are 60 years old on August 31st you qualify for a Senior ticket, whilst if you are 16 on August 31st, you would not qualify for a Junior ticket. Junior/Senior applicants are required to show a proof of date of birth, such as a passport or birth certificate. Students are required to show a valid student ID (showing expiry date) covering the coming season, or a letter which states they are accepted to continue education.

Will I get a renewal application form for the 2015/16 Season Tickets in the post?

As the Ticket Office is making more attempts to go paperless, fans will not be sent a renewal pack or form in the post this year. Fans can purchase online at www.ccfcshop.co.uk, or if you do not have access to the internet, please call 024 7699 2326/2332 or visit the Ticket Office. If you have any queries, you can also e-mail ticketoffice@ccfc.co.uk.

Will I be sent my new 2015/16 Season Ticket in the post?

Yes, Season Tickets will be posted out around July time. We’ll put information on our website at ccfc.co.uk when we begin posting tickets out so you can watch out for it in the post.

Will we have Booklets or Cards?

This is yet to be confirmed, and depends on whether we are allowed to use the access card system at the stadium.

What is a Concession?

Concession is 60 and over, Young Adult (16-21) , full time student, and current serving members of the Armed Forces. For full time student, we will need proof of being a student in the 2015/16 academic year – whether this is an offer letter or a valid College/University ID or NUS card. For armed forces members, we require an active warrant card.

Will I have chance to view my potential new seat before I buy?

Yes, we are planning to have a ‘seat move day’ when fans can look at possible new locations for their seat at the Ricoh Arena alongside ticket office staff.
Details of this will be confirmed in due course. In the meantime, fans can renew or purchase seats now and be moved to any new location following seat move day.

Stadium Layout

Are there any changes to the stadium layout for next season?

Yes, there will be some changes for the season ahead.

North Stand – closed for to Season Ticket holders, and will remain closed for individual matches unless demand is high enough.

Family Zone – moving to blocks 23 and 24. Family Zone activities in the concourse will also move to this area.

Block 25 – will now be an area dedicated to our groups and schools packages.

Why are we doing this? With such a large stadium and fans dispersed in different areas, it can be difficult to generate atmosphere. We want to try and recreate the atmosphere the Sky Blue Army generated at the Ricoh Arena in the 2012/13 JPT run (especially the Preston game) and at away matches, and hopefully moving Sky Blues fans closer together in the East and West Stands will do this.

We do understand concerns that Sky Blues fans will not be behind either goal at the Ricoh Arena, but believe the atmosphere generated by the closeness of fans in the East Stand can improve the atmosphere overall.

We are also working the Supporters Consultative Group on options regarding a partial opening of the South Stand to present our proposals to the independent Safety Advisory Group – we will keep fans informed of any development with this. If this option becomes available, we will move fans who have already purchased a Season Ticket elsewhere to that area for free- should they wish to do so.

Could we have just closed the back 10 rows of each stand for example, rather than not using the North Stand? Yes, it was an option we considered – but we have done this previously and it was not successful, alongside other logistical issues.

We are aware that some North Stand Season Ticket holders may be disappointed with these changes however, thanks to other changes for next season, they will still pay less for their Season Tickets.

If the crowds reach levels where we need to re-open the North Stand, then we will – and we hope this is a decision we have to take!

How did you consult with fans on these changes?

We spoke to the SCG meeting about changes to the seating layout on 22nd April. Changes and options were discussed by the 18 supporters present, who are reflective of various groups and demographics of Sky Blues fans.

We talked about what had been the best atmosphere at the Ricoh over recent years and, aside from the return game against Gillingham, the JPT game against Preston (with a full East Stand and closed-off North Stand) was cited.

On the back of that, we called a separate meeting with members of the SCG at Ryton on 26th April to go through Season Ticket prices and look at the possible closure of the North Stand. Other ideas were suggested including closing off the back ten rows all around the ground, closing off the front ten rows all around the ground or opening up the South Stand so home supporters can sit behind the goal at that end.

With all things considered, closing the North Stand came out as the preferred option among the group – who represent a wide variety of fans – and we are discussing with the Safety Advisory Group – the organisation that awards the licence for football matches to be staged at the Ricoh – to see if there is the opportunity to part open the South Stand for home fans.

South Stand

Why can you not just open the South Stand to home fans?

We cannot take a decision ourselves to open the South Stand to home fans. This is a decision which has to be approved by the independent Safety Advisory Group. It is also their decision on the amount of segregation and netting which we have to have between home and away fans.

Who are the Safety Advisory Group?

The Safety Advisory Group (SAG) is an independent safety group who are made up of the relevant safety authorities- including several sections of Coventry City Council, West Midlands & Warwickshire police, fire service, ambulance service etc.

What proposal have you made to the SAG?

We are, together with the SCG, putting forward a proposal to open up block 11 in the South Stand to home supporters. This would be a Season Ticket holder and pre-sold area only, so wouldn’t be available to buy on the day.

We hope the SAG approves our plan, and if they do we will make this area available to Season Ticket holders to move into.

Why can’t you move away fans to a different area of the stadium?

When the Ricoh Arena was built, the South Stand was specially designed to hold various capacities of away fans. Though you cannot see this from the stadium bowl, away fans are contained in the South Stand by shutters at different sections.

Moving away fans to a different area of the stadium would mean moving existing Season Ticket holders who sit in that area and the blocks required by the SAG for segregation, redesigning the stadium – and require the approval of the SAG.

Why can you never open the whole of the South Stand?

As well as the segregation required by the SAG, the South Stand concourse capacity is not large enough to safely accommodate the number of seats/people in the South Stand.

Why do CCFC have more blocks of segregation than other clubs?

The level of segregation between home and away fans is a decision made by the Safety Advisory Group, not CCFC.

Pricing Zones

Are there any changes to the pricing zones?

Yes, we are scrapping the Premium Zone, with Blocks 19, 20 and 21 becoming Standard Zone areas.

This has two effects. Firstly, fans in those areas will save even more money on their Season Tickets for 2015/16. Secondly, we hope it will encourage more fans to sit in those central areas which we hope will also increase the atmosphere by fans being closer together.

The Family Zone will move to blocks 23 and 24, while block 25 will be the new schools and groups area.

Do prices vary depending where I sit?

If you are an adult or concession, it is a flat rate whether you decide to sit in the Standard Zone or Premium Zone. For juniors, JSBs and JSB under 12s, sitting in the Family Zone is cheaper than in the Standard Zone.

Why are junior and JSB prices cheaper in the Family Zone?

JSB and Junior prices are cheaper in the Family Zone to encourage and make it cheaper for families and children to sit in our designated family area. However, prices have also been reduced for JSBs and Juniors in the Standard Zone.

Direct Debit & Finance

Is there a direct debit or finance option for Season Tickets this season?

Currently we cannot offer a finance option. We have applied for a Consumer Credit Licence, which we need to have to be able to offer a credit finance option.

How long will it take for the club to be granted a Consumer Credit Licence?

The application for a licence usually takes 8 – 12 weeks for a decision to be made by the regulatory bodies. However, a licence can generally take upto 6 months, while in some circumstances it can take 12 months. As of 1st June, there is no further update to this.

Why does the club not currently have a Consumer Credit Licence?

The previous licence was held by Coventry City Football Club (Holdings) Limited, the previous operating company. As Otium Entertainment Group trading as Coventry City Football Club is now the operating company of the club, a new licence is required.

Why did the club not apply for a licence earlier?

Companies must complete an extensive application for the Consumer Credit Licence, which includes full operating accounts. As Otium Entertainment Group trading as Coventry City Football Club’s first year of trading accounts was submitted in February 2015, it was only after this date that we could apply for the licence.

Is there an alternative to the finance option in the meantime?

We have put our Match Packages on sale immediately for the first time- and with a reduced price Early Bird option similar to Season Tickets.

The match packages work out at £78 for adults for a 6 match package (just £13 per game) or £156 for adult for a 12 match package (£13 per game).

You can see more details about Match Packages www.ccfc.co.uk

Private Seat Licences

I am a PSL holder in the North Stand. How can I move my Season Ticket and my padded seat?

We have received confirmation from Arena Coventry Limited that we will be able to move PSL holders seats. This has to like to like – for example if you had a sky blue padded seat, you will need to move to another sky blue seat location. We will communicate directly to PSL holders in the North Stand regarding the process

Benefits and Memberships and Car Parking

What are the additional benefits of being a Season Ticket holder?

As well as getting the cheapest price to watch all of the Sky Blues’ 23 home league fixtures, you will receive priority on buying away and cup tickets, an exclusive Season Ticket holder monthly e-newsletter and discounts on VIP Matchday Hospitality packages and matchday Executive Boxes. You can also sign up to Cup Direct and Away Direct schemes so that these matches can automatically be sold to you once they go on sale, plus there will be more advantages to being a Season Ticket holder throughout the season.

What are the match day prices?

Matchday ticket prices will be released following the fixtures being released.

Is Car Parking for 2015/16 available now?

Car Parking for next season is not available yet, but we’ll let fans know as soon as it is. We expect this to be in the next couple of weeks. Car Parking is dealt with by the Ricoh Arena, so will not be available from us.

Disabled supporters

Do the on sale renewal dates still apply to disabled supporters?

Yes, the dates apply for all supporters.

Last season I supplied the ticket office with my proof of disability paperwork from the DWP. Do I need to send this again in order to receive the disabled/ambulant concession price and a free carer for the 2015/16 season?

Yes, the ticket office needs to receive valid paperwork each season as all supporters circumstances can change.

What is the situation regarding ambulant disabled fans?

Ambulant disabled fans will be able to purchase Season Tickets in any available area of the ground.

Who can I speak to in regards to disabled Season Tickets or purchasing match day tickets?

Please call the ticket office on 024 7699 2326/2332 and they can assist with any queries. You can also e-mail ticketoffice@ccfc.co.uk.

North Stand Disabled supporters

Have you contacted affected Disabled Supporters in the North Stand?

Yes, those affected were written to at the end of April.

How many Disabled Supporters have been affected by the North Stand closure?

In total, 5 supporters are affected. Of these, two have renewed and one has reserved a location elsewhere.

What availability is there for those Disabled supporters affected?

We have plenty of availability within the other blocks, including in the old premium blocks, to accommodate the other two supporters affected and any other disabled supporters who may want to purchase

Block available (as of 2nd June 2015, neither purchased or reserved for an existing Season Ticket holder):

Block 2 - 2
Block 36 - 1
Block 23 - 3
Block 19 - 3 (This was previously a premium zone area)

This gives a total of nine disabled spaces available for next season.

Do you need to open North Stand disabled areas for these supporters?

Based on nine disabled spaces being available and expected demand, this is not necessary.

Does the club feel disabled facilities are appropriate?
Yes – we have one of the highest wheelchair capacities in the Football League. Some clubs which we visit for away games only have two, and at some clubs our disabled supporters have to sit in the home supporters areas.

Due to the Ricoh Arena being modern stadium, we also have very good facilities around the stadium for disabled supporters, including lowered counters and disabled toilets which can be accessed via RADAR keys.

How did you consult with fans on these changes?

We spoke to the SCG meeting about changes to the seating layout on 22nd April. Changes and options were discussed by the 18 supporters present, who are reflective of various groups and demographics of Sky Blues fans.

Other ideas were suggested including closing off the back ten rows all around the ground, closing off the front ten rows all around the ground or opening up the South Stand so home supporters can sit behind the goal at that end. Facilities for disabled supporters were addressed in this meeting, both on the topics of the North Stand and South Stand.
