The Sky Blues hasn't ruled out making 'one or two' signings ahead of the Monday transfer window deadline...
Coventry City manager Tony Mowbray has confirmed the club are looking to add to the squad before Monday's January transfer window deadline.
The Sky Blues are currently preparing to face Scunthorpe United on the back of two defeats against Southend United and Burton Albion.
City have already added to the squad during the January transfer window with the permanent deals of Peter Ramage, Joe Cole and Stephen Hunt, and the loan extensions of Adam Armstrong and Gael Bigirimana.
Mowbray admits there are a few potential deals which could happen before Monday's deadline and that Mark Venus is working hard to get them done.
The City boss said: "I don't think Monday's deadline impacts on us too much or our ability to sign players.
"It doesn't rule out signing a few players in the next day or two. They're names which have been given to me by Mark Venus and from Championship and Premier League clubs.
"We could get a few players in and I'll be looking at a few players this afternoon. We've got a few options we're looking at and we've got to decide whether they're right for the club.
"It's all about whether we decide to press the button on one or two players. I hopeful something can happen in the next day or two."
