The City boss also praised Gael Bigirimana after starting at Valley Parade with John Fleck out injured...

Coventry City manager Tony Mowbray was disappointed just to claim a point after a lively 0-0 draw against Bradford City.

The Sky Blues had the better of the chances at Valley Parade as Adam Armstrong hit the post in the first-half and both Ryan Kent and Jacob Murphy had goal-bound efforts well saved late on.

It means City stay top of the table with 38 points, extending their unbeaten run to ten games during the 2015/16 League One campaign.

Mowbray said: "We're a bit disappointed with the result. I think it was as good as we've played all season really and played some good football at times.

"I think we controlled the game and where they had one or two isolated moments, we took the sting out of the occasion really well.

"We made sure we had a lot of the ball and the defence dealt with their directness really well. A lot of players had to be strong today and I thought we dealt with them really well.

"Aaron Martin and Ben Turner did the job they were supposed to and Bigirimana gave us a real level of control in the game. His passing and link play was really important to us today."

The Sky Blues return to the Ricoh Arena on Saturday to face Doncaster Rovers and Mowbray sees it as another chance to build the points.

He added: "Look, we're pleased enough. I thought we did enough to win the game but you'd take a point and it keeps us unbeaten for ten games now which gives us a solid platform.

"Like I've said previously, we don't look at the table. It's all about building the points up as much as possible and the momentum comes with it.

"We've got another difficult game against Doncaster on Saturday and it represents another really good chance to continue the run we're on."
