Coventry City update on ongoing Season Ticket and ticketing operations

27 August 2014

We would like to again thank supporters for their patience and would like to provide an update regarding ongoing ticketing operations

Coventry City Football Club would again like to thank supporters for their patience in purchasing 2014/15 Season Tickets for the club's return to the Ricoh Arena and would like to provide an update with regards to the ongoing ticketing operation.

Coventry City development director Steve Waggott said: “The excitement at the return to the Ricoh Arena is great to see and it has resulted in huge interest over the phone, online and in the CCFC Superstore.

“Supporters have been extremely patient while we try to meet the demand for Season Tickets and we are very grateful for that.

“We certainly didn’t underestimate the levels of demand but it is undoubtedly the case that we’ve had to work really hard and really quickly since getting the deal done to get tickets and Season Tickets on sale.

“We are working extremely hard to get everything in place for the Gillingham game too, which has intensified the pressure on our systems, but we will continue to work as hard as we possibly can to meet the demand.

“Every single supporter is important to the club and all we can do is appeal for their continued patience as we try to process each and every sale.

“Where possible we are trying to encourage supporters to purchase their Season Tickets online but, of course, we understand that many want to speak to someone face-to-face or over the phone.

“We are working to get additional staff in place and through the hard work of the team and the patience of the supporters, we will get there and it’s vital that we don’t lose sight of the positivity that has been created by the return to the city.”
