PAT ABEL launched Tickets for Schools. Over the last seven years, every primary school in the area, 15 secondary schools, 35 junior clubs and 24,000 children have taken part in the scheme which enables families to experience football affordably. Pat has been an active shareholder, and organiser of the Sky Blue Pool.
STEVE BARNETT has been a member of the SCG from its early days and one of the most vocal contributors. He has been a Coventry supporter for the last forty years and a long-time season ticket holder. He has represented Covsupport News Service on a number of committees over the years.
JIM BROWN is the football club’s official historian and statistician and is responsible for the club’s archives. He has contributed to the match programme for over twenty years and writes weekly for the Coventry Telegraph. In 2006 he formed the Former Players Association (CCFPA) of which he is currently the chairman.
STEVE BROWN is chairman of the Sky Blue Trust. He has supported Coventry City home and away for many years and has been involved in a variety of local sports. He is ‘more than happy to raise any questions from any Coventry City supporters at SCG meetings’.
DAVID BUSST is director of Sky Blues in the Community which drives personal and community development in Coventry and Warwickshire as well as independent football in the community initiatives in relation to the club.
DEC CONNOLLY is one of the newest members. He has supported the Sky Blues for as long as he can remember and remains a long-time season ticket holder. He has been part of the Tickets for Schools scheme this season in his role as the Sports Complex Manager at Woodlands Academy.
DARREN LEE DAVIES joined the SCG having organised a group of 400/500 supporters unhappy with the closure of Block 14 at the Ricoh Arena. He has recently created the North Warwickshire Coventry City Supporters Club.
MICHAEL GARLICK was born in Coventry and has been a staunch supporter since first going to Highfield Road in 1952. He is now retired after a successful career with a world renowned aero engine manufacturer. He has served on the CCFC Stadium Forum and is a member of the Diamond Club.
SANDRA GARLICK, Vice-Chairman, a former solicitor, is now a business consultant. A supporter for over forty years, she has been involved in a number of groups associated with the club in a voluntary capacity and is currently a committee member of the Coventry City Former Players Association.
DALE HAYWARD is twenty-one and has supported the club since he was eight. He plays for and helps out with the Coventry City Supporters Football Club. He works as a carer.
MAJ. KEVIN HEFFERNAN is a member of the Vice-Presidents’ Club and Diamond Club and a committee member of the Coventry City Irish Supporters Club. He was chairman of the Jimmy Hill Tribute Appeal which provided for Jimmy Hill’s statue at the Ricoh Arena.
COLIN HENDERSON is a long-time supporter, and chairman of Coventry City London Supporters’ Club.
CJ JOINER, one of the younger generation of SCG members, is Events and Merchandising officer of the Sky Blue Trust.
CHRIS McGRATH has been a passionate supporter of Coventry City for fifty years. She was invited to join the SCG by Paul Fletcher. She continues to speak up for female fans and is ‘more than happy to pass on any concerns and ideas to improve their match-day experience’.
JAN MOKRZYCKI is former Press, PR and Events officer of the Sky Blue Trust. “I was a season ticket holder for 37 years firstly in the main stand at Highfield Road and then Block 20 at the Ricoh. When the club moved to Sixfields, I did not attend a ‘home’ game but went to away games and even watched matches from the ‘Hill’.”
PAT RAYBOULD is involved with the Junior Sky Blues and leads a team of volunteers who run activities in the Family Zone before every weekend home game as well as an annual Christmas party. She was Npower Football League Fan of the Year for League One in 2013
MARK SORBIE has been a Coventry supporter for over fifty years. He is a paraplegic as a result of an accident in 1998. He consults the football club on matters relating to disabled supporters.
RAY STEPHENS is a committee member and membership registrar of the Diamond Club for those who have supported the Sky Blues for fifty years or more. Ray and his wife have been season ticket holders since 1965.
JONATHAN STRANGE, Chairman, was chairman of Coventry City London Supporters’ Club from 2002 until 2013. On Joe Elliott’s initiative, he established and developed Sky Blues International. He belongs to the Diamond Club, and has been a member of the SCG from the outset.
RAVINDER SINGH TAKHAR, born and raised in Coventry, has his roots in Punjab and is a Sikh. “My interest in the SCG is to represent the ethnic communities of Coventry.”
ROBERT TIDMARSH is chairman of the Coventry City Youth Forum for supporters in the 15-25 age group. He is also a Family Zone volunteer in the Junior Sky Blues section. “I am very passionate about bringing the best for the young generation of fans.”
JODIE TURNER has been a season ticket holder since Highfield Road days and attends most away games. She is an experienced PA and has been part of the Tickets for Schools scheme this season in her role of Head’s PA at Caludon Castle School.
PETER WARD is the former chairman of the SCG. “CCFC is a family affair and way of life.” As chief executive of a major international company, he offers a valuable insight from the local and global business community, whilst fulfilling an ambassadorial role in his worldwide professional role.
