The City boss has also reiterated that players will be 'shipped out' if they do not match the required levels at Coventry City...

Coventry City manager Steven Pressley has admitted it will be difficult to play his 'style of football' on the Ricoh Arena pitch ahead of the Notts County game.

The Sky Blues welcome the Magpies to the Ricoh Arena tomorrow on the back of the 2-0 win over Plymouth Argyle in the Johnstone's Paint Trophy on Wednesday.

Despite the victory in midweek, City will want to continue their recovery from the 2-1 defeat against Worcester City in the FA Cup on Sunday.

With the weather getting worse, Pressley believes the standard of the pitch could alter the style of football which City play.

Pressley said: "It's difficult to play in the manner that I want my team to play in on that pitch. The standard of the pitch is so poor.

"In fact, at this moment in time, the Ricoh Arena pitch is probably the worst in the entire Football League.

"When your a manager who wants to play the game in a certain way, it makes life difficult but we've got to get on with it.

"We played some really good football on Wednesday but importantly, played the football in the right areas."

After the FA Cup defeat on Sunday, Pressley remarked that certain players will be 'shipped out' of the football club and he admitted that is still the case.

He added: "I've got to see my players reflect my passion and desire and that hasn't this season.

"In regards to what I said in the last press conference, the situation has not changed.

"Any player which falls beneath the standards I expect will be shipped out of this club and that has been made quite clear now.

"That will start taking place over the next few months. We had a full recruitment meeting this week and plans are now being put in place."
