Coventry City manager Steven Pressley has urged his players to reach their 'maximum potential' next season in order to achieve success.
The Sky Blues are set for their first pre-season test on Saturday against Nuneaton Town at Liberty Way before the squad heads to Italy for their pre-season tour.
The City squad have worked hard over pre-season with the squad taking part in hill-running at Elmdon Park last week.
In an exclusive interview with Sky Blues Player, Pressley said his aspirations for next season is to see his players continue to progress and reach their optimum performance.
The City boss said: "I want to see us to fulfil our potential and to see each player play at their optimum levels.
"Not just once or twice in the season but consistently. I want to see us at our best as many times as possible.
"If we can do that, I have a great belief in the group that we can have a successful season.
"But, for me, the most important thing for me is we maximise our resources and if the players give me that, then nothing more can be asked of them."
Midfield duo John Fleck and Conor Thomas are set to continue their partnership in midfield next season but will have competition for places as Pressley continues to search for a central midfielder to bring in.
Whilst the City boss has praised the pair for their professionalism and style of play, Pressley has challenged them to progress even further this season.
He added: "I want them to evolve. I am a huge admirer of both of them. Conor Thomas is everything I look for in a modern footballer.
"He is the ultimate professional, he prepares properly for every game and he consistently trains at his highest levels.
"John Fleck is a wonderfully-gifted footballer but I think there is even more to come from him. He is an old-fashioned footballer who just wants to get a ball and play.
"It is a big season for both of them but I'd like to see them both kick on and improve."
