Coventry City manager Steven Pressley has revealed he is in the market for three strikers as well as a left-back and a central midfielder.

In an exclusive Sky Blues Player interview, the City boss confirmed he is looking to add to his squad ahead of the 2014/15 League One season.

City have already brought in five new recruits in the shape of Danny Swanson, Jim O'Brien, Reda Johnson, Mohamed Coulibaly and Ryan Allsop.

Whilst the City squad are being put through the rigours of pre-season, Pressley said there is 'a lot of hard work' being put in to find new recruits.

The City manager said: "We're working exceptionally hard to find the right players in bring in. Again, it requires patience as we don't want to rush into any signings.

"We're looking to acquire a left-back, a central midfielder and three strikers, and it's vitally important that we get it right.

"I'm really delighted with the signings we've made so far and I think the fans have been excited by the acquisitions.

"Although we're taking our time, we know the main thing is that the players we bring in have to be right for this football club."

The Sky Blues scored 74 league goals last season with former striker Callum Wilson scoring 22 goals to make him the club's top-scorer.

Wilson completed a move to Championship side AFC Bournemouth last week and Pressley says he is looking for a similar type of player.

He added: "We had a terrific combination last season with Leon Clarke and Callum Wilson and I think we will be looking for a similar type of partnership next season.

"We're looking for that important link player who connects midfield to attack whilst also having that pace and power which Wilson gave us last season.

"We pass and play but one of the most important things in the system is the speed. Speed gives us a number of options where we can play over the top and on the ground.

"That combination is what we're looking for and we're hopeful we'll be able to find the right recruits to fulfil it."
