Coventry City manager Steven Pressley has revealed 'nothing is imminent' on any deals on transfer deadline day.

Last week, the City boss confirmed he is still in the market for a striker and a defender to add to his 11 summer signings.

Pressley confirmed the defender who is currently on trial at the club will feature for the Under-21s today but has said there is a possibility of transfer movement today.

The City boss said: "I wouldn't say we are definitely doing some transfer business today. We're trying to do a couple of things and you never know what the day brings.

"Nothing is imminent at the moment but we'll continue to work on a couple of things today which we've been monitoring for a while.

"Hopefully, something will come off but if not, we've got the loan window to look at as an option. The trialist will play for the Under-21s today and we'll get a good look at him."
