'We want four more friendlies for pre-season," says Coventry City boss Steven Pressley

Sky Blues boss is hopeful of doubling the pre-season friendly count as he gets his side ready for 2014/15

Sky Blues boss Steven Pressley says he is hoping to add four more friendlies to City's pre-season schedule as they get ready for the 2014/15 League One campaign.

There are currently four friendlies confirmed in the calendar away to Nuneaton Town, Newport County, Bristol Rovers and Stevenage but Pressley says he wants to add another domestic clash towards the end of July along with three more ties as part of a pre-season tour.

"There's going to be a fifth friendly which we've still to confirm and we are also hopefully going to add another three during a pre-season tour so we will be looking to strike the right balance in the way that I thought we did last year," Pressley said.

"When we went to Holland last year we played teams that looked to dominate games through possession and passing which tested us in terms of our structure and organisation that we were working towards.

"We then came back and played organised teams that tested us in a more English style of football which gave us a good combination. We want to do that again and make sure we achieve the right balance in different styles of play because we want to make sure that we prepare well both in terms of our structure and also in what we expect to encounter domestically when the new season starts."
