Coventry City have signed Newcastle United striker Adam Armstrong on a youth loan deal until January 16th.
The 18-year old forward has joined the Sky Blues ahead of the 2015/16 League One campaign, the club's fifth summer signing.
Armstrong has made 19 appearances for Newcastle United, making his debut for the Magpies during the 2013/14 season against Fulham at the age of 16.
The striker has also made a huge impact in the English international set-up, scoring 10 goals in 12 appearances for the Under-17s and scoring nine goals in nine appearances for the Under-18s.
City boss Tony Mowbray said: "Adam is a striker we've been tracking throughout the summer and a prospect we're really excited by.
"He has a fantastic eye for goal and his movement in the area makes life difficult for defenders.
"It is also an important stage of his development and he needs first-team games to progress as a player so this is a big chance for him in his career.
"We've been looking to add quality to our forward line throughout the summer, and despite his young age, I believe Adam will give us a fantastic option going into the 2015/16 season."
