Coventry City will play Birmingham in the second round of the Capital One Cup

COVENTRY City will face Birmingham City at the Ricoh Arena in the second round of the Capital One Cup.

It is the first time since 2008 City have been involved at this stage of the competition, the year the Sky Blues beat Manchester United at Old Trafford.

Andy Thorn's side came through a tough test against Dagenham and Redbridge with Kevin Kilbane's last minute penalty securing the 1-0 victory at Victoria Road.

The tie will be played the week commencing August, 27th.
