Coventry City chief executive Steve Waggott has urged supporters to snap up their season ticket ahead of the 2015/16 season.

The Sky Blues are currently preparing for the 2015/16 season which starts on Saturday, just four days away, against promotion-candidates Wigan Athletic at the Ricoh Arena.

With the clock counting down towards the 2015/16 campaign, the Sky Blues are just 15% from the general Season Ticket sales target and have already surpassed last season's total.

Also, despite the late date of sale for corporate season ticket holders, the club are only 20% short of it's target for seasonal corporate packages, a crucial cornerstone of the playing budget.

Exactly a third of all sales have been to new or returning (fans who didn't have a season ticket last year) supporters which has been helped by manager Tony Mowbray signing a two-year deal this summer.

With more transfer activity planned, chief executive Steve Waggott hopes for strong sales ahead of the first game of the season.

Waggott said: "Throughout the summer, we've been really happy to see the amount of fans return to the club and buy a season ticket.

"Our sales have helped fund a positive transfer window so far but as Tony Mowbray has said recently, there is still a lot of work to be done and players to bring in.

"We'd still like to bolster our forward line and the wide areas, and season ticket sales are imperative to get these deals over the line.

"As our fans know, season tickets are the club's main source of revenue and we need to reach our target to fund a squad which will be capable of success next season under the Salary Cost Management Protocol.

"Hopefully, those supporters who are still undecided have been encouraged by our recent transfer activity and will commit to us before the 2015/16 season."
