City chief executive Steve Waggott hopes the strong sales continue with the early bird deadline just seven days away...

Coventry City Season Ticket sales have rocketed past the half-way stage after a strong weekend of sales.

Sky Blues fans continue to take advantage of the club's early bird pricing structure which sees adults priced at £249, a 25 per cent drop from last season and the fourth cheapest in League One.

The club have now sold over 3200 Season Tickets for the 2015/16 League One season, almost 500 sales in three days, having set a target of 6,000 earlier in the summer.

As revealed on Friday, over 25 per cent of current sales have been to new Season Ticket holders or supporters who haven't , but are now 'coming back' to the club.

City chief executive Steve Waggott hopes to continue to see strong sales with the early bird deadline just a week away.

Waggott said: "It has been a great summer for the club so far as we're ahead of schedule in terms of season ticket sales and there is so much positivity around the city at the moment.

"We announced our matchday ticket prices yesterday which received a really positive reaction but I must emphasise the cheapest way to watch your team this season is with a Season Ticket.

"The early bird deadline is in a week's time and we expect to start finalising a few deals soon to get Tony Mowbray's squad in the best shape possible for the 2015/16 campaign.

"I'd like to thank all the supporters who have already backed the club this season as every sale counts in giving us the best chance to succeed on the pitch this season."

The club introduced a flat rate for Season Tickets of £249 for adults, who buy in the early-bird period which ends on Tuesday, June 30th, which equates to less than £11 per match whilst concessions season tickets have dropped to just £191; £8 per game.

Furthermore, Junior Sky Blues (JSBs) under the age of 12 are eligible for a free Season Ticket in the Family Zone, as the club continues to attract it's next generation of supporters.

JSBs aged between 12 and 16 have seen their Season Tickets in the Family Zone reduced to £23, which is just £1 per game.

You can purchase your Season Ticket now either in person from the CCFC Superstore at Gallagher Retail Park*, online at www.ccfcshop.co.uk or over the phone by calling 024 7699 2326.
