Lifelong Coventry City fan Carl Cooper has committed to another year as a Season Ticket holder with the club after Tony Mowbray put pen to paper on a permanent contract as manager.

Carl, who follows City with his 15-year-old son said he was intending to renew for the 2015/16 season whoever became boss but is delighted that Mowbray has joined.

He attended his first game as a four-year-old in the 1970s and started attending regularly in the mid-80s – just in time for the club’s most successful era including the FA Cup win and some famous victories over the giants of English football.

Carl hopes the appointment of Mowbray can bring back the positivity within the club and the city.

He said: “I have great memories – beating Aston Villa on Valentine’s Day is one – and it’s nice to have something positive.

“It’s a good appointment and, as a new manager, he’s going to want make changes but I think most supporters are quite excited by it.

“I’ve been a Season Ticket holder since about 1997/98 and, if truth be told, I was going to get one anyway, regardless of who came in as manager, but I think it will definitely inspire a few more.

“The fact that prices have been cut should hopefully mean a few more come back too.

“I go up with my son and he loves it and it would be great to get a few more up there this season – and it would be even better if we were successful.”

The club have a flat rate for Season Tickets of £249 for adults who buy in the early-bird period (up to the end of June), which is £96 cheaper than a standard zone Season Ticket last season and equates to less than £11 per match. It is also more than 25 per cent cheaper than the last full season at the Ricoh Arena.

There will be no premium zone at the Ricoh Arena during the 2015/16 season – blocks 19, 20 and 21 will enjoy standard zone pricing – and the family zone is moving to blocks 23 and 24 in the East Stand.

And the club’s commitment to attracting the next generation of Coventry City fans remains firm, with Junior Sky Blues (JSBs) under the age of 12 eligible for a free Season Ticket in the family zone.
JSBs between 12 and 16 have seen their Season Tickets in the family zone reduced to £23, which is just £1 per game.

Concessions Season Tickets have also dropped to £191 from £230 in the standard zone this season, and that equates to just over £8 per game.

Supporters are able to buy on the web at www.ccfcshop.co.uk and they are available over the phone on 024 7699 2326 or 024 7699 2332 or in person at the CCFC Superstore.
