Coventry City captain Sam Ricketts believes the Sky Blues were the better side in the 0-0 draw with Bradford City at the Coral Windows Stadium.

City extended their unbeaten run to ten league games with a point after a tight affair with Bradford who have now kept seven clean sheets in a row.

But Ricketts believed that the Sky Blues dominated the game and showed how good a side they really are in a hostile atmosphere in front of 17,757 supporters.

"We were the better side in the game," Ricketts said.

"It maybe wasn't quite enough to win the game but we nullified a hostile team in a hostile environment and controlled the game.

"They wanted to try and unsettle us, Phil Parkinson built the game up particularly as we're now league leaders, there is a target on our back.

"But we showed we're a good side. We can be pleased that we put in a performance like we did but we just couldn't quite get the winning goal.

"We've got our standards and I said before the game a good side will come here and dominate like we did do, so we can be pleased with that."

The Sky Blues skipper also singled out Gael Bigirimana, Ben Turner and Reice Charles-Cook for praise, adding: "Ben is a solid old fashioned defender, a good presence and talker at the back.

"Gael played well, his fitness was very good considering he hasn't played much, you can see he's a talented player tonight.

"Reice has done very well and has impressed me right from the start of the season. We're fortunate to have two good keepers, Burgey is a very good goalkeeper who has done nothing wrong, so he can count himself unlucky.

"On my first day, Reice told me he was vice captain - he hadn't played a game at that point and I didn't know who he was! I call him Vice even I don't think he is! But everyone did well and we can be pleased with the performance."
