'We can't be so wasteful' - Robins

Coventry City boss Mark Robins wants his side to put away their chances...

Coventry City manager Mark Robins has urged his players to not be 'wasteful' in front of goal for Yeovil Town's visit to the Ricoh Arena.

The Glovers, who have won their last five in the league and currently sit 7th in the table, line up against the Sky Blues this weekend.

City's midweek fixture in the Johnstone Paint Trophy against Crewe Alexandra resulted in a 3-0 home loss, having failed to score despite having 25 shots.

Robins, who was a striker in his playing days for Manchester United and Norwich City, wants to see his side finish the chances they do so well to create.

The City boss said: "It was difficult for everyone at the club to take as the atmosphere was incredible and the players were really up for it.

"They wanted to put on a show and if we had scored any one of our many chances in the opening stages, I am sure it would have turned into a great performance.

"But we were extremely wasteful in front of goal, and that is what happens if you don't finish your chances. The feedback from the game has been positive because the supporters know their football.

"Everyone I have spoke to just seems amazed that we weren't able to get at least one goal, and that will have to change against Yeovil.

"He (Gary Johnson) has that side working well at the moment and they are on a great run of form so we can't afford to be wasteful this weekend."

Joe Murphy came off during the Crewe match at half-time with a hamstring injury. Robins says the club are continuing to monitor the situation.

He added: "He had a slight injury and I am going to give it a bit more time before I make a decision on whether he can play or not.

"If he doesn't make it, which I will decide tomorrow, then Chris Dunn will start in goal and we will have to bring Lee Burge back from Nuneaton.

"He has played almost every minute of this season so if he is fit, he will play."
