Coventry City manager Steven Pressley has fitness concerns over midfielder Jim O'Brien and captain Reda Johnson going into Wednesday's game against Cardiff City.

Johnson and O'Brien played 90 minutes in the 3-2 defeat at Bradford City, with defender Johnson bagging a brace on his debut against the Bantams.

The Sky Blues face Championship side Cardiff City in the Capital One Cup on Wednesday night, which is live on Sky Sports, and Pressley has revealed his injury concerns.

The City boss said: "We've got a couple of little knocks which is expected after the first game of the season.

"Jim O'Brien is just carrying a knock at the moment. He played 90 minutes on Saturday and played well but we think he should be fine.

"Reda has a little bit of tightness so we will monitor that. Other than that, everyone else came through the game and we're looking forward to it."
