We've put together all you need to know about the Sky Blues' new striker, signed on a one-month loan deal from Sheffield Wednesday…
Coventry City have signed striker Gary Madine, and we have compiled a fact file on the Geordie-born front man, who will hope to fire the goals to guide City up the SkyBet League One table!Profile: Gary Lee Madine
24-Year old Madine was born in Gateshead, and was originally on the books at Middelsbrough. He eventually progressed through the youth ranks at Carlisle, making his debut appearance in 2008.
He would go on to score 13 times for the Cumbrians, in a spell that saw him go on loan to League Two sides Rochdale and Chesterfield.
In 2011, Madine signed a four and a half year contract with Sheffield Wednesday. He has gone on to make over 100 appearances for the Owls, in an impressive three year spell. He has notched 26 goals to date, including 18 in 2011/12, easily his most successful season.
One of these was a famous equaliser in his first Steel City derby against Sheffield United in a 2-2 draw, as Madine showed his potential to produce in big games.
He now finds himself at Steven Pressley's Sky Blues and with games coming up against Leyton Orient, Worcester City and Plymouth Argyle in three competitions, he has the chance to open his account for City early.
